The Production Optimization team is proud to announce that we will be releasing a new version of PERFORM, version 7.5! This version includes several small bug fixes and three key new features.

  • New Worst Case Discharge (WCD) Report
  • Unloading Gas Wells Using Gas Lift
  • Network License Borrow Manager

The new worst case discharge report is essential for offshore operators seeking to comply with new BOEMRE requirements. It shows all of the input data and industry correlations used to generate the worst case discharge rate, and is currently under review by the BOEMRE for completeness and accuracy.

The ability to model unloading liquids from a gas well under gas lift has been requested by several of our users, and we are proud to introduce this capability in version 7.5. The enhanced gas lift tool allows the user to enter the desired gas rate and the liquid to unloaded (along with other basic well parameters), and have PERFORM generate a continuous gas lift design.

The network license borrow manager allows users with network version of PERFORM to 'check out' a license for a pre-determined period of time (up to 30 days). During this time, the user will be able to use PERFORM without being connected to their usual network, however, the network license pool will be reduced by one for the duration that the license is checked out.

PERFORM Version 7.5 will be availble for download and CD installation in December 2010. To watch a recorded webinar demo of the new features, visit http://energy.ihs.com/Products/Producingsystems/webinar-schedule.htm
